Magnificent Monday Super Tricky Mission

July 15, 2013 by Shellie 131 Comments

Hey Everyone!

The mission today is to solve this phrase:

KXIETRXW B VANBW YHVTE GBKX UNKNTG PABEX, HNMLBWX, LRKMABHWW R XBKETP ZTEXMTVA, NGW WTL SBFFXK WKXAMX DTEMXK, X LTIXOH AXEX DETLLXG OTK UXZRGM DNCBLBDBT VABEE

First you will need to do a Caesar Cipher and shift the letters to the right 7 spaces.

Second you will have to translate to English. I used 8 languages this time. (Words are grouped together in phrases so they will translate correctly)

Third you should have a 30 English word count as your final answer.

Hint: This phrase comes from “Only the Good Spy Young”

CORRECTION: LRMABHWW should have been LRKMABHWW which I have since corrected!!!!

I will hold all answer comments for 48 hours but will approve all comments with tips, tricks, and encouragement!

Good Luck!

xoxo,

Shellie

P.S. Go see Ally this week in Atlanta!!!

P.S.S. Did you see that B&N will have special exclusive content in their hardcover copies of United We Spy?!?!?

I can’t believe I actually got one of these right for once:
“I replayed his words in my mind while, outside, the sleet fell harder, and the room turned colder, and I knew the entire class was starting to feel the chill.”

OK! I got it finally!! It’s when Townsend is trying but failing at teaching CovOps, which is not being held in Sublevel 2. “I replayed his words in my mind while, outside, the sleet fell harder, and the room turned colder, and I knew the entire class was staring to feel the chill.” This is one of my favorite parts because next, Cammie totally show Townsend up and shows just how good the Gallagher Girls really are. Plus I don’t really like Townsend so him getting showed up but a teenage girl was quite funny!!

Love the books, Ally, you and these Missions and things! Thanks Shellie!!

Hi Shellie! This was an awesome puzzle! Here is my answer:

I can’t believe that it took me this long to do it! It took my all day.

But the reason was because i thought to myself, how would a real spy do it? They wouldn’t cheat and use Google translate, they would either already know the languages or research it in a book.

So i went to the library and Caesar Ciphered it and with my high language skills translated it from the eight languages (with a lot of help from dictionaries) and got this:

I replayed his words in my mind, while, outside, the sleet fell harder, and the room turned colder, and I knew the entire class was starting to feel the chill.

So yes, maybe it took me all day (6 and a half hours to be precise), but i felt proud of myself after that extremely hard work!

I hope you make more competitions for a United we Spy excerpt, because i didn’t have the chance to do any of the other competitions (and i hate myself for it).

I love you Shellie and Ally!

I don’t think this is the exact translation of the cipher but this was what the book said that was closest to my translation soooooo yeah
