Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a great week last week and an even better one this week!
Since Ally has so many fans across the nation and across the world I wanted to ask what is cool where you live? What is the latest fad in your area?
Right now in our area everyone seems to be mustache crazy! Kids are having mustache parties and wearing fake mustaches for fun.
Here is a pic of me with a silly mustache:
Hope you all have a giggle over my silly photo! I will see if I can get Ally to take a picture with a mustache this week and post later ; )
Here is Ally’s mustache photo:
Love you guys!
xoxo,
Shellie
P.S. Keep all the really cool artwork for Fan Art Friday coming!!! Please submit to [email protected]
I come from oahu, hawaii, and currently, the boys love snapbacks, pennyboards, fixie bikes, and knife dancing.Girls love high low dresses, studs, lace, and loose fitted shirts. Many people, including boys also half bleach their dark hair, which is usually layered for girls. (Thats a local hawaiian thing) Girls wear a lot of sandals, vans, and not that many converse. Charlette russe was a pretty popular store for the girls to get their banquet dresses from. Oh, and mustaches came and still linger, but is disappearing…
woah. hawaii has normal fads? i always just thought they were their own separate little place with their own little fads that never associated with the outside world. guess i was wrong.
lolsorry if i seem abit stupid but that is soooooooo funny that you have alot of fads
i agree with teamismon
hawaii is like sooo beachy right?
or am i just being stupid?
Lol no we have trends even though were so far away. Cuz of you know, youtube. And internet. And yeah hawaii is pretty beachy cuz were islands and all. I mean were pretty different fro the mainland but teens r teens.
yes, i agree tens r teens
im not a teen yet, but im following so many fads that it is unbelievable
ANOTHER fad is watching a channel on youtube called Humzaproductions, he makes videos called “Diary OF A Badman” (i call it doabm)
these are quite funny, but i don’t think so anymore
it’s that kind of fad where it gets too popular, that you hate it
like with thrift shop and psy
Oh yeah and i forgot about those athletic high socks for both genders
Arg i keep forgeting things. Hopefully this is my last comment. In music, thrift shop is a popular song, and imagine dragons are pretty popular.
Ugh I hate “Thrift Shop”
me too im so sick of it
yeah its sooo weird how they randomly sing songs like that
i think the most absured fad it gagnam style WHICH IS STILL A FAD HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
whattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
im going mad here, just carry on, guys
im just another mad english 12 year old
who is crazy for books
LOL
Me too!
Yeah i hate it too, but at least there songs like radioactive and heart attack here. And taylor swift. Shes awesome
YES!
FINALLY I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT
omg
i am so happy right now
i gotta aske: what’s your fave song by her?
mine are all of them
I have to admit i never really liked thrift shop why is it such a popular song?
I live on Maui, Hawaii, and right now, I don’t even know what the rage is over here because I don’t pay much attention to others, haha, but I guess the fad that was occurring was the app, Fun Run.
I’m from Atlanta, Texas and the big thing right now are Lily and Laura bracelets and Vine videos!
Where i live its neon clothes and nasty pierceings..
I linve in Britain and moustaches used to be huge but know its geek t-shirts I’m not sure if its changed again but that’s the latest one
I live in Northwest Iowa and the fad is mustaches, 1D, hello kitty, and lace dresses.
Also suspenders and 3D glasses frames.
I’m from California and right now the mustache fad is kinda fading. Also the Cup Song fad…sadly “Thrift Shop” is still in even though I HATE that song…French manicures are totally in, and also dying your hair crazy colors that are still pretty (turquoise, bright pink, purple that’s so dark it looks black) also short shorts, leggings with crop tops, vans, converse, Toms, Nike socks (for guys at least), snapchatting, Instagram, tumblr, iPhones, androids phones, that “turtling” thing someone mentioned above….so yeah. There’s more that I can’t think of right now but that’s most of it. Btw I’m a sophomore (that means I’m in year 10, for you Australians and Canadians…I’ve met quite a few Canadians in model UN conferences and they never know what being a sophomore or junior or whatever means) so this is what high schoolers are doing right now…go California….
Armidale, Australia
Currently owls! And well a couple months ago was the Harlem shake, and the song I love it and being a first year living a college well I have to dance whenever I hear I love it come on at a function! Also right is wool jumpers, scarfs, onesies, anything to keep us warm right now is in!!
im Australian too. Yes have to agree with you. but also its owls that are in too. 🙂
Onesies? like the things newborns wear? isnt that a little weird?
yep, that’s TOO weird
Here in Washington the trend are high-low dresses and long hair. Anyone else like that?
I live in Missouri and over here high-low dresses are called mullet dresses because they’re short in the front and long in the back like a mullet. They sell them at the malls here but I’ve never actually seen anyone wearing one.
Long hair is definitely in though. Especially braids and curly hair.
I’m from Ontario, Canada, and things that are big right now are the Knife song, YOLO, moustaches, the cup song, Harlem Shake, Thrift Shop, plaid shirts, short shorts, knee-high socks with Uggs (when it’s cold), Apple products, and since I’m in Grade 8, graduation is a really big deal right now because everyone is buying their dresses and all of the guys are comparing shirts and it’s just insane…
It’s funny to see how many different places have the same traditions!
-Jace 😉
Oh, wow, Shellie, I LOVE THE PICTURE!!!!! A fad where I live is turtling book sacks (its where you turn a book sack inside out and putting all the stuff back inside).
i live in ellesmere port, england and at the moment everyones doing the cup song
i live in Australia and its owl crazy. Owls,
I’m from Melbourne, Australia.
I’m not really sure what the latest big thing is right now, but I owls and moustaches were pretty big a while ago but now they’re starting to die out. I guess Vans are too, but now that everyone’s got them its like no one cares anymore. Really short shorts are pretty big here, but now that its autumn … Well yeah…
But onesies are really in (especially animal ones!) but it’s really interesting to see how everyone around the world has the same kinds of fads going on.
again with the oneesie thing. isnt that so weird?onesies are made for babies!
No and they’re actually really comfy and cute
oh yeah, and seriously annoying
hey! I’m from calgary, alberta.
right now, the fad is ivviv a athletica and lulu lemon clothes as well as talking in IM language.
ttyl ;p
yeah, we do that here too
the IM thingy
I live in New Jersey and the big thing right now is the knife thing, and its starting to warm up here so the stupid girls are wearing their denim underwear that they call shorts. And of course, who is going out with who (or who likes who) And that’s what 6th graders are doing in NJ. And I love the mustache pics!! Can not wait for GG6!!!! I’m found a report on the first book for school. Wow, this is getting a bit long. Bye!!
Oh! I’m doing a report on the first book. Not found. That would be weird.
Hiya,
I’m from Yulee, Florida! Like always our fad is cowboy boots! Haha I’m from a very country town! But ya mustaches are definitely in everywhere now
we love nerd glasses and mustaches it is the new thing
OK, so I live in New Jersey like half an hour away from NYC. And at my school it almost seems like the guys talk about hair and shoes more than the girls do. Its kinda funny, actually. They have their sneakers that cost $100 and their gelled hair, and the “popular girls” just wear sweats and revealing tanks. But one of my friends was told to put her clothes back on cuz her T-shirt was too big & falling off her shoulder. My friends and I love reading, especially Ally’s books!!!
same here the boys at my school talk about shoes alot! And none of the girls do.
