its these two worlds that we all love separately coming together. and somehow it just works. there are a thousand ways the worlds could have met but it is done perfectly in Double Crossed.
It was really great to hear more about Macey’s life, and seeing how she played with Hale was really fun to see!
I liked the fact that it was the combination of both series and that it was two sides of the law working together; those who catch the bad guys and those who try not to get caught (even though they do it for good reasons).
Not to mention the great plot line! 🙂
I LOVED THIS BECAUSE IT HAD MY TWO FAVORITE SERIES IN 1!!!!! ALSO BECAUSE MACEY AND HALE WORKING TOGETHER LIK THAT IS SO AMAZING AND ITS FUNNY HOW THEY KEPT TRYING TO OUT DO THE OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (PS I KNOW ITS ALL IN CAPS I JUST WANYED TO STRESS HOW MUCH THIS NOVLLA REALLY WAS THE BEST ONE EVER!!!!)
Omg!!! This would be the best birthday present ever!!!! And no my birthday is today not wensday.
I loved how Ally was able to combine both books so well! A lot of times its hard for authors to decide how characters (especially characters with similar personalities) will mesh, but she did an AMAZING job! I loved how Hale and Macy interacted and worked together, even though their personalities and backgrounds are so similar. It was just an overall flawless crossing and I loved it!
I loved how quickly Macey connected with Hale and eventually Kat. I also thought it fun that Abby offered Kat a place at the Gallagher Academy. 🙂
The thing I loved best about Double crossed is how perfectly Allly mixed the charaters from GG and HS.I think that by using Hale and Macey-both of which are rich beyond reason and have a secret life-she showed how.similar both side of the law are.Hale, the sly handed theif and Macey ,the spy in training are the perfect of both books. And the apperence of Abby and Kat,it adds more suspence and awesomness to the story.I absolutly loved Double Crossed!
I thought Macy and Hale’s conversations were really entertaining. Also, it was funny when Hale underestimated Macy. Big mistake. And I thought the whole thing with the president masks was funny too. It was all so good!
Double Crossed was a great novella because it was a novella. Getting to see Macey and Hale interact in this rich, glamorous world they both loathe so much was really entertaining. And see them together was even better. But the fact that it was a novella made it better. If it had been made a real novel, it would have been too forced. It wouldn’t have been as great if it hadn’t been a novella. It being short made it greater.

Hi! I love all the Ally Carter books. This crossover novella has definitely reminded me as to why I love them so much. Ally Carter has such a wonderful perspective on things that she writes in a young and funky way. I love how in Double Crossed, she keeps everything balanced to where there is the perfect amount of action and romance but not too much where the reader feels they must skip to the end. Thanks for keeping me reading.

I probably wont win this but my favorite part was when they fiqured out what they where! I love Macey and Hale!! I also like that Abby and Kat where there!! I just love this book its the best in the world along with gg’s and hiests:) OH!! I also like that Macey and Hale r kindof challenging each other!! Lol so many things to like about this book! I just loved it lets just say that:)
I love the fact that both Hale and Macey first worries were making sure their parents were safe.
I loved that we saw how the two series would interact with each other. It was awesome!
I loved how the novella incorporated my two favorite series into one. The characters were perfect and it was so cool to read about how each one reacted differently to another character. Not a lot of authors do this type of thing, and Ally is an amazing person and author because she could. 🙂
I loved the interaction between Kat and Aunt Abby because they both are awesome and together they were better then ever.
I loved that aunt Abby was in it! My favorite part was when Macey asked who was on the phone and hail said ` the reason I’m not flirting with you` 🙂 =)
*Hale sorry, i just had to do that
I love how Macey and Hale kicked butt! They were awesome!
I have so much that I love about Double Cross. I love Macey and Hale’s Brotp that they form. I love Kat and Abby working together. I just loved everything!
I really loved how Hale, Kate, Macey, and Abby all worked together! They each used their own personal skills and in the end they saved the day! Never stop writing Ally! 🙂 <3
I LOVE THIS WHOLE IDEA!!!
I honesty think that DOUBLE CROSSED is a dream come true!!! Everyone DREAMED about having Ally Carter mix both of her series together! The fact this this book had two of the most LOVED characters in it was BRILLIANT!!! The whole concept of the story was amazing as well! Hale and Macey working together to solve a crime, and they BOTH used their “powers” so to speak! Ally Carter is a beautiful writer!!! Her books have INSPIRED me and my friend to start writing a spy story together 😀 I am also writing a few books, just for fun!!!
DOUBLE CROSSED is an AMAZING BRILLIANT WONDERFUL FANTASTIC FABULOUS CRAZY AWESOME LOVELY SPYISH story, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
Brilliant!
It's so simple, it's brilliant!!!
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love Double Crossed. I’ve reread it so many times I can’t even keep track. What I love about it, is that the books are combined but instead of it mainly being Kat and Cammie, it’s Hale and Macey. I just love the story and the whole idea of them doing that. I also love that they both got there mothers out of there….. Fast.
I love the whole book itself. The way that neither side had too much power. The plot, was amazing, the fake necklace, GENIUS! It brought all of my favorite characters in. I mostly loved how the whole time I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for something else to be revealed and make everything more interesting. Overall I liked how at the end made me wonder if somehow the two series were connected all along, almost like the two completely different worlds were shadowing each other.
I just love the fact that Macey and Hale, who have very grown up in the same rich lifestyle but have very different jobs can work together for the greater good. Plus, Macey is basically the male version of Hale and vice versa, so you get two Macey’s and two Hale’s in the same book!
When doulble crossed came out it was the happiest day of my life! My two favorite books combined into one! I knew it was going to be good! On a scale to 1 to 10 it was a 40!
I loved being to see how both of the series were connecting and seeing how Hale and Macey acted towards each other when they first met (and didn’t know the other persons back ground)
I loved the part where Mrs. Morgan gave Kat a Gallagher Academy card after they found the culprit!
Is Kat going to join the Gallagher Academy?????
Double – Crossed was amazing!!!!
Sorry! I mean Abby gave the card to Kat!
The whole book was amazing, but I really liked the way the personalities of Hale and Macey bounced off of each other. They both come from the same world, and have roughly the same feelings about their “real” lives. And Abby giving Kat a Gallagher Academy card was a nice touch….
The best part of it was probably the possibilities. The end will make your imagination wonder with ideas. Who could cross over next? What if Kat goes to the Academy? That’s really what books are for, I supposed. To fuel your imagination. Plus, who doesn’t love reading about a deep cover like Macey and Hale have everyday?
i absolutely loved double crossed because A: Spies+ Thieves= THE MOST AMAZING BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and B: I LOVED the lines
He held out the extra earbud, whispering softly in the too-quiet room. “It goes in your ear and-”
But before he could finish, Macy rolled her eyes and placed the bud in her ear. “This is Peacock,” she whispered. She watched Hales eyes go wide as she heard a very familiar voice say, “You’re not getting extra credit for this.”
I DIED when i read that.
What I really loved about Double Crossed was that Ally combined two awesome stories that seem different but have very similar characteristics. Hale and Macey may both seem like ordinary rich kids, but they have so much more to them that only the people who they’re closest to see. Ally was able to successfully combine both of her series into an amazing crossover with all the characters that we love! Thanks Ally!
I love for the fact that Hale and Macey are just so alike. It was a perfect combination. Also, Kat and Abby was a very great set up there. There was a lot of funny humor that i loved, too.
I liked how two separate books are intertwined into one short story. It was enjoyable to read how the different characters interacted with each other. This story also made me even more excited for the sixth Gallagher Girls book to come out.
My favorite part was when Hale was talking to Kat on the phone and Macey asked who he was talking to and he said “The reason I’m not hitting on you now”. I thought that was soooooo incredibly cute. It showed that even though Kat and Hale have had some rough times through their relationship, Hale still cares a lot about Kat and would never hurt her by flirting with another girl, even a Gallagher Girl. I also love this part because once Kat is told the situation, she automatically jumps right into the action so she can not only save the innocent owner of the neckelace, but to also keep Hale safe.
What I love about the double cross novella is that at the end, the say that they might meet again! Kay says that they are going somewhere and then Macey says she is going there to kidnapp/save someone. That made jump up- literally!!!! Keep on writing ally! Ur my inspiration!
I loved that characters from both series got to work together for a common goal. If you think about it, they come from almost opposite ends of the stereotypical spectrum, but they really aren’t that different. They have similar ambitions and purposes. Their characteristics are alike as well even though they are each unique. Double Crossed brought the best of both series into one world.
I loved how Abby could read Kat so well… it’s pretty obviously that Kat hasn’t met too many super-aware spy-like people.

That is so awesome!! The Double Crossed book was really good, and I can’t wait to see if you make more novellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love both series, and they are my favorite books I’ve ever read!!!!!!
I think the strength of the story, and what I loved the most, was the mesh of what appears to be two completely separate worlds. I think Ally Carter has grasped the similarities of a Con-Artist and that of a spy. One steals information, the other steals objects. But when you get down to it they really aren’t that different. I think that through having Hale-a thief-, and Macey -a spy- work together that mesh is achieved. They both have the same fears and the same desire to protect what they care about.
What was great was the interactions between the GG characters and the HS characters. My favorite moment was when Hale introduced Macey to Kat, and Kat presents herself upside down. I just nodded my head in approval. It’s mostly these small moments that make the story great! Macey threatening Hale was brilliant as well. Cudos to Ms. Ally Carter for writing THE most awesome crossover I have ever read.
I loved that Macy and Hale worked together and how at the end they worked as well as Hale and Kat do. Also I loved how Aunt Abby was giving Kat relationship info in the midst of all the chaos.
There’s no question about it:
The best thing about Double Crossed was the fact that it let the adventure continue. For a 14 year old like me, things are getting kind of stressful since high school is just around the corner. Being able to lose myself in a series as good as this makes it easier. Everyone in this book is so confident and sure and in control. I look up to them, fictional or not, because those qualities are something to strive for, especially now. My 3 best friends will get me will me through the next 4 years, just like Cammie and her friends can get through anything, together. So to recap: My favorite thing about this novella was how relatable it is and how it is a great addition to an already stunning series.
Hale and macey meeting, and kat and camomile meeting was good. I like how the story brought those to pairs to the person that is so much like them, but it didn’t conflict. Macey and hale, let’s not leave them in a room alone.(;
I love how the two worlds so perfectly combine. Kat was still the typical thief who’s always planning cons, Hale was still as Hale-ish as ever, and Macey still played the teenage debutant flawlessly. There wasn’t a single point when the thief world and the spy world seemed to clash, something that had to be extremely hard for Ally to write.
I dunno if I can give just one reason as to why I love Double – Crossed. Maybe it’s Ally way of writing that makes it physically impossible to out down. Maybe it’s her ability to put a story in your head and then leave, with it stuck in there. Forever. It might be the genius way she mixes Hale and Kat with Abby. Or the Abby understands Kat. And lets not forget Macey. Macey and Hale really mix well and I was smiling while I read about how Hale stuck to Kat the whole time and how Macey wasn’t trying to hit on Hale. I could on. I will go on. I like that Hale just wasn’t totally surprised when Macey knew what to do and what was going on. It was magic on a page. Even the title is genius.
So thank you Ally for being such and amazing writer!
I loved how the characters I love met each and realized that their are many different types if non-normal teens. Also loved when Abby gave Kat a card fir the Gallagher Acadamy. Hope she think about it sometime 😉
Thanks for the giveaway!
I loved the way all of the characters interacted. I loved how Macey and Hale interacted with each other and I loved how the ended on such a lovely note!
I love how Ally set up the mission that Hale and Kat had to do together. I was a great way of associating my favorite books!!! I love the whole idea of Double Crossed because it allows for the readers to see how Ally would incoperate the characters together, and the way that Kat caught Hale’s attention in the book. The way that they successfully worked together even though they did not really have any of the necessities that would have been helpful on a mission.
I love Ally’s books and I hope that she continues mixing the two book series together because it is a nice way of continuing the adventures!!!
Love you Ally!!!

Oh my gosh…..I dont know where to begin. Well, first of all, I LOVED the whole book. I love how it’s from a different point a view, and how it’s different worlds mixed. I love how Macey and Hale have great chemistry, and great personalities. I also loved when Aunt Abby offered Kat the card for Gallagher Academy. I could soo see that happening! 😀
I loved all the small refrences slipped in. Also, the story captured snipers of the emotions from both series, which is a really hard thing to do.
