Hi everybody,

I hope you’re all having a great weekend.

I have kind of a strange question for you today.  Basically, I’m hoping that you can help me out with something.

It’s time to think about revamping this site, my overall marketing plans/concepts, and just things in general.  Basically, what are we doing that you like, don’t like.  What SHOULD we be doing–stuff like that.

So please take to the comments section and let us know.

Two quick requests:

1. PLEASE DON’T SAY “MAKE A MOVIE”!  That is out of my hands.  WAY out.  And every time someone says otherwise a tiny part of my soul crumbles and dies.

2.  PLEASE DON’T SAY “WRITE FASTER!”.  Again, I’m writing as quickly as I can.  And, yeah, that hurts me in my soul too.

 

But everything else is fair game.

  4. First of all, I really like your site, it’s very easy to find information 😀

    Well, my suggestion: You need more GG / HS merchandise, wallpapers, downloadable bookmarks etc!
    There are a lot of great artist out there – so making a contest would be awesome!
    (Like the best designs will be featured on your homepage or something)
    People could draw Cammie & Friends + Kat & Co. in a typical Gallagher or Heist Society setting
    and create wallpapers, bookmarks….
    And then all the other fans could download the wallpapers!

  6. On the merchendise website thingy some of the buttons are only sold in 10 packs but no one I know likes your books so it would be pointless for me to buy a 10 pack when I only want 1. Can you change that? Please thanks Ally!

I don’t know if someone said this already because I didn’t have the time to read all the comments on your blog due to time issues and slow internet , but I’ve always liked it when you gave advice on writing. I know you’ve already written a bunch and may not want to do anymore with that just now, but I find I enjoy reading even the smallest tidbits on that subject. Also, I don’t know if you enjoy art or not, but you could try drawing your characters the way you envision them in your head, and then posting pics of the drawings for us all to see. Thank you for taking the time to connect with your readers. It makes books come alive more when the reader feels as if he or she is connected with the other in some way.

  8. I love your website as is, but there are a couple additions I would enjoy. First, I would like a page where readers could post questions, and where you would answer all the serious, non-repeated questions so everyone could get the answers to the questions that they’re looking for. Second, I would enjoy more quizzes (Which character are you, how well do you know the books, ect…). Also, I would enjoy some polls (which book is your favorite, who’s your favorite character, ect…).

  9. MAKE YOUSELF A CUP OF COFFEE AND RELAX!!! And, ignore the “FASTER/MORE” comments, we want your soul intacted and happy!! I Haven’t been on the ‘site for a while, and I’m acessing it via PS3, so I cant comment much on likes/dislikes. But, I f you guys can somehow (If it’s not done already) manage a mobile site for us mobile device users, that’d be awesome.

  10. 2 things I’ve always thought would be awesome would be:
    1) I’ve always wanted to know about Cammie’s Pre-GA years. And Also, Her years from 7th Grade to Book 1.

    2) If you need help with this one, there are at least 50 people that would be willing to help with this: The should be… SPY CLASSES! Me and about 5 of my Friends/Family know some curriculum taught in these GA courses. And I’m sure that other fans know all about spy stuff.

    As for Heist I have no clue, but here are some things that popped into my head:

    1) This can be done as a form of MMORPG or just blogging clues. You could have heists that fans could do. I think it would be more fun to do it MMORPG style, but you ARE the author after all.

  13. I just wanted to say that I can’t wait for Heist Society Three to see what happens with the whole crew, and of course, Hale and Kat…. LOVE your books Ally Carter, you are a great writer and I hope this won’t be the last heist society book in the series❤❤❤❤❤

  14. I just love your books to death, I own ALL the Gallagher Girl books and I am forcing (but they like it) all my friends to read them. We pretend that we are them and I teach them all their classes. Culture & Assimilations, P&E, Coveops, EVERYTHING!!! I wish the Gallagher Academy were real!!! How you come up with all this!?!?!?! You are a genius just keep writing and I’ll be HAPPY XD!!!!! : )!!!! ;)!!!! ;D!!!! You ROCK ALLY!!!!

  17. It’d be really cool if you could tell us which actor you would pick to play each person. It would really give me a visual. I think you mentioned somewhere you don’t go into complete detail of a character’s apperance because it isn’t relevant to the story. And that’s cool, I would just find it cool to figure out who you’d pick. i.e. Kat, Hale, Gabrielle, Simon, Hamish, Angus, Mr. Stein, Bobby, Edward & Charles, Cammie, Zach, Bex, Macey, Liz, Rachel, Abby, Edward, Joe, Prof. Buckingham, Mosckowitz, Fibbs, Grace, Abe, Gillian, Mary, Preston, Josh, Grant, Jonas, DeeDee, Dillon, etc.

  18. I think it would be really neat to write a series about after Cammie has grown up and maybe her daughter becoming Gallagher Girl.
    Andddd I really like the idea of like doing of like having like a Zach’s journal blog like where there is a blog full of what Zach’s journal entries would be? (Or Mr. Solomon, Bex, Liz or Macy or Aunt Abby)

  19. I don’t know if anyone else put this… too many comments to read… but I would Luke it if you could update or somehow make it to where we could start GG and HS book clubs. I’ve checked a few times in the fun category on here but it always say that tree aren’t any…

  20. It’s so hard to think of things that teens love, and they really love your books. It would be nice if you would expand on the merchandise so there were more connections to your books; and that would be good advertising for you.The cafe press merchandise seems really limited, although it is very original that the designs/logos are fan driven. It would be nice to have a much larger selection of merchandise that teens like to have such as:

    1. Posters of the different book covers orfun sayings
    2. Spiral bound notebooks with some of the fun sayings on the cover
    3. Pencils
    4. Spy kit that only a Gallagher girl would have
    5. T-shirts and jackets in a lot more colors; particularly bright colors
    6. Throw for the bed/couch; pillows
    7. Iphone 5 cases (not just 4) or Kindle/Tablet cases

    For the website, you could enhance it to make it more interactive with Spy School classes with tricks or tid-bits, interesting facts. Maybe things that didn’t make it into the books. Fans could take quizzes and get “graded” on them, etc. Use the class room/school concept to expand and make the site more interactive where they want to return daily or weekly, rather than just every once in a while.

    Also, maybe a companion book when it is going to be a while between full books that has spy tips; or quizzes or interactive information. Quizzes about “which spy are you” etc.

  22. I think you should create a site for all your fans to talk and share news from you. Sort of like a Facebook for Gallagher Girls.
