Hi, everybody!

I’m baaaack. Vacation was fun. And tiring. And very, very pretty (as you will see below.)

My family and I were fortunate enough to take a Disney cruise from New York up the New England Coast and into Canada. It was a gorgeous ship…

And we got to see some beautiful sights. Like Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia.

And the “reversing falls” in Saint John, New Brunswick.

And, of course, we had some beautiful days at sea.

And we got to have a lot of fun with some genuine rock stars.

Like a zip-lining Mickey Mouse.

And my youngest niece’s favorite character, Donald Duck. (In her own words: “He has that fluffy butt.”)

Now, of course, I’m back to work. I turned in the Perfect Scoundrels copyedits today (whoo hoo), which means I will only see the book ONE MORE TIME before it is a real book in all of your hands. It’s equal parts terrifying and exciting.

That also means it’s time to get seriously, hardcore to work on GG6.

  14. Wow. Those pictures have made me realize one thing: I’ve done NOTHING this summer.
    Sure, I was a camp councelor for one week, but does that really compare to Nova Scotia? I don’t think so.
    Looks like fun, Ally! Maybe take your beloved readers with you on the next cruise? 🙂

  18. OMG gosh that looks like so much fun!!!!! If you want to maybe try a more relaxing cruise you should go on a Royal Caribean or Princess cruise to some islands in the caribean. While you were away, i finally got my cousin to start reading the Gallagher Girls!

      And YAY!!! from me as well!!!!! I love alllllll of your books for YA’s, especially the HS ones because you never read anything like them anymore!!!!! I love Kat and Hale and I can’t WAIT for Perfect Scoundrels!!!

  23. soo glad that you had fun ally i went on a diseny cruise too when i was little so i dont remember much which isnt right lol. and i can not wait for PERFECT SCOUNDRELS!!!!!!!! thanks for the pictures they where great:) have a fun time writing GG6:]

    • Ikr? i went on when i was really little and all i remembered was that i had a ton of fun! i remember that i really wanted to go when i was little and my parents said we would next year…… 10 YEARS FORWARD ( to the present ) still never got my cruise…. 🙁 ha lol but not to be all doom and gloom, im glad u had fun ally! cant w8for perfect scoundrels and you left a cliff hanger at gg5 so im DOUBLY excited! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  25. I’m glad you enjoyed your cruise! I really can’t wait for Perfect Scoundrels!! It’s seriously looking to be my favorite book in the series, but that all depends if KAT AND HALE BREAK UP AND YOU DESTROY MY ENTIRE LIFE, MS. CARTER. *glares*

    Oh, and recently I got a friend of mine into Heist Society. We were talking, and I brought up Kat and Hale’s couple name. Yeah, I know “Kale” is a thing, but it’s just not that great. We decided on Bishale, and I just kinda wanted to get that out there and hope it becomes a thing. 🙂

  26. woow love the pictures, i hope u had great time. i read the gg5 book and it was great!! i cant wait to read gg6!!!!!! i loove this series its like the best series ive ever read!! i am so not happy that the series will endafter gg6 u should right a new series on her life after gg academy. like wat she does and if she ever gets married or something else happens to her? i would be just overflowing happy if u started a new series of it i bet gg6 is even better than gg5

    I know u get this A LOT but I absolutely love your books.I’ve only been to the bookstore recently because I was swatting and I walked out with the first 2 GG books and the first HS book.( that was the fastest money I’ve ever parted with) My birthdays coming up soon and my moms letting me get any 5 books I like I can’t wait to get more of your books.I’m hooked! Good luck with GG6. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing just like anything with the carter touch!

But I must say that I am very happy that you will be starting some hard work on GG6 since I know it’s going to be AWESOME!!!! It’s kinda sad that it’s the last book in the series though . . .

  43. Oh, my gosh! I went on a ship just like that to the Bahamas last year!!! That was the single best vacation of my life!!!
    I love Disney.
    Perfect Scoundrels… I can’t wait! Why, o why can’t February come earlier?

  49. I’ve been to Disney land but never been on a Disney cruise. We live in Zimbabwe and Disney was hands down the best holiday I’ve ever had. I can only imagine what the cruises a like . Keep us up to date with GG6.

    It is my mission to get my sister to read this amazing series, there’s is one problem she thinks she is too young.!
    She is 10 so all you girls out there help me. Reply and say how she so needs to read this series!!!
    You guys might think I’m a controlling sister but I love reading these books so much and I just want her to experience the Gallagher girl story.

      • When my sister was ten she wanted to read those books, but I told her she was to young, so I really don’t think it matters if she doesn’t want to read them yet. Any way it just means that she doesn’t have to wait when the sixth book comes out if she doesn’t read them until then.

    • Well, my little sister is 12 and i keep telling her to read them but she wants to read the hunger games first, dont get me wrong, i loved the hunger games but i think that the Gallagher Girls are more appropriate than the hunger games, so it depends on how mature Cynthias little sister is.

    • I think she might understand them more at age 12+, or else she might not like it to begin with and then never want to read them when she is older. This has happened to me with people before. But I guess it just depends on the person.

        • im twelve and i read gg1 when i was in 6 grade ( last year ) and i got HOOKED!!! but you gotta let her read it if she wants to , i tried to get my younger bro ( no sisters, AAAAHHHH!!!! 🙁 ) to read one of my fav series ( warriors * wink – u should read it- * ) but he is not a reader!!!! i think i got stuck with the bookworm gene, cuz all my bros ( 3 🙁 ) are video game obsessed . my point is, if ur forced to read a book, or if u think about it as an assignment, ur gonna be less enthusiastic to read it! i feel ur pain girl, i want a fellow book worm in the family too 😉
