Hello, everyone!
So how are your summers so far? Mine is much like my spring. A whole lot of working on Heist 3, but there are a few other things. Like…
Where have all the good TV shows gone? Way back when I wrote my very first book (which has never been published and likely never will be because it is a FIRST book and those typically aren’t very good) during the summer. I’m convinced that if there had been good TV shows I never would have done it. And then I never would have written any books. So maybe summer TV is a good bad thing.
There are a few shows I like. Like Necessary Roughness and almost all the stuff on USA. But there is no Vampire Diaries. Or Good Wife. Or Modern Family. I need me some Modern Family, people!!!
But at least I have the pool (which I am loving). Really, it is the nicest thing in the world to be able to say “when you finish this chapter you get to go swim for an hour”. It is such a better incentive than “you get to do laundry”.
Also, I totally need a grill. (see, I told you this blog would be random). I have never grilled personally, but my dad is a master griller, so I’m hoping I’ve got the genes. At the very least I have a pool, and I figure the two should pretty much go hand in hand. In my mind, I’m someone who smokes briskets and makes perfect steaks and chops and burgers for a backyard of adoring friends. So I have the pool. And the yard. As soon as I get the grill and…ya know…make some friends I will be all set!
Have I mentioned I’ve been spending a lot of time working on Heist 3?
At the end of this summer, my whole family (mom, dad, sis, bro-in-law and both nieces) are going on a Disney cruise. It is going to be epic.
You know how I was going to buy a good camera and then learn how to use it? Yeah. Phase two of that plan still hasn’t happened.
Many people have been asking where Molly went to. Well, Molly took another job. It is a good thing for her, but that means she won’t be posting here anymore, I’m afraid. Maybe someday I will have time to find someone else to do that job again. In the meantime you’re stuck with me and posts like this, I’m afraid.
And finally, when I finish Heist 3 I will begin GG6. Needless to say, I have incredibly mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I’m excited to get a new GG book to all you and finally finish up this series that has been such a huge part of my life for so long. On the other, I have to finish up a series that has been a huge part of my life for so long! It will be a very sad thing for me. But I’m looking forward to diving in.

I finally picked up GG5 last Friday and finished it in 4 hours! Your series is amazing and I really hope you continue them further! Maybe all the way to 8??? I LOVE ZACH and yeah…

Also, you should try Pretty Little Liars, it’s pretty suspenseful but then again, I am a chicken

June 12, 2012 at 12:28 amOmg i love zammie so much! When i first read heist i thought that nobody could be as dreamy as hale, but i was wrong. Zach has him beat. I just love the way he talks to cammie, like shes the most important person in his entire life( actually shes probbably pretty high up on his list now that i think about it)By the way zach and cammie better end up together both alive and well also. If they dont i will be like seriously angry……

Or the big bang thery? Best shows ever. I'm loving all the pool that finally opened! Keep up all the great work on HS3 and I'm glad that you got to have fun so far this summer and not fey stick in the room where you do your writting all day. For my summer I'm taking a writing camp (I might brow some ideas from your books[sorry]) wish me luck

If things go good for Cammie and Zach maybe, just MAYBE, you could do a spin off series about I don’t know
off the top of my head. Their kids? or new students who adore Cammie and Zach and the gang?
Either way a spinoff would be awesome! I would love you even more than I do now! (And that’s saying something!)

Have fun on your crusie Ally, but look out for Overtakers (if you’ve ever read Kingdom Keepers) though I don’t think you’ll have a problem with them with you beeing a spy and all 😉

June 13, 2012 at 10:10 amEver watch Doctor Who? It’s a British show that’s not currently running (season 7 starts in autumn!) but it’s on Netflix instant and is completely brilliant. I’m almost convinced that I get more creative by listening to the amazing writing skills of the dialogue…

June 14, 2012 at 11:20 amI love Doctor Who! We found it back when it wasn’t on Netflix and, man, was it hard to get ahold of! Who ‘s your favorite Doctor? Mine’s Ten. You you never forget your first Doctor.(first episode I saw was Ten) But Eleven is coming seriously close to number one. Favorite companion? For me, Rose. But I loved Donna. And oh my gosh, Amy and Rory! So awesome!

June 14, 2012 at 11:26 amI don’t know about you, but I live in the U.S which was why it was difficult to obtain. They were almost $80 a series! Thankfully, my mom pitched in when we found some at our local Costco for $40. Also, have you seen Sherlock? Love it! Stephan Moffat, who does Doctor Who now, also does Sherlock, which is partly why they have such rotten schedules.

I remember when I first started reading GG I was obsessed and I still love them!!!! I finished both Heist Society books a few days ago!!! They are also great!!!! PLEASE POST PICTURES!!!!! June 13, 2012 at 8:42 pmOh my gosh I can’t believe you guys are all still in school. We got out on like may 18 and our finals only take 2 days. And when there’s nothing on TV i watch something off the DVR. Celtic trhunder did this fundraiser with PBS so my sister and i just keep watching them over and over and we fast forward through the fundraising parts. It’s awesome.

June 15, 2012 at 1:53 pmehhhh! when i heard about GG6 i screamed i read my mum the email and she was really excited for me i love those books and after i read the first one i went back to WH Smith a stationery in Britain i don’t know if they have them in America (WH Smith of course) and got all four of the other ones, of course there was a special offer but at least i got all of them. i’m so excited!

Whenever something is ending, i just try to think about what i can do now that its over, rather than thinking about how i miss it…

I am really looking forward to GG6 and HS3 but I am sooooo sad that Gallagher Girls is ending because it was a big part of my life and really inspired me to become a writer… And well… Just plain inspired me!!!!! I hope your summer is great, you finish both books, get a camera and a grill, go on a Disney cruise, sun tan and sit by the pool!!!! I just want to say you are a great author and ask you a question. How many books are there going to be in the Heist Society series. I honestly love your books and wish you would write more GG books but I respect that you know that there needs to be an end to the series and I know you will make it a truly amazing ending!!! Can you please make this book long so it won’t go by so quickly? I am only in 6th grade, going into 7th which probably means most of the people who commented are older than me but I still love your series soooooo much!!!! When you came to DC and talked to us at a library along with Rachel Hawkins, I was so happy you were there and I even remember you talking to my friend and I asking if we were sisters but we just said no we were friends who were obsessed with your books and loved them and then you signed the book for us!!!!!!!! That was an amazing experience because you really inspired me to be an author!!!! Even though I will never be as good as you and can never seem to write long stories like that and I can only get it to be a few pages long!!!

June 22, 2012 at 10:26 pmI can’t wait for Heist Society 3! I’ve done that thing where you keep rereading the books over and over, then your favorite parts, the the books over and over again.
And spin offs are awesome! I would totally read any GG spin off you wrote.
And I’m completely with you on the summer tv thing. I’m going into White Collar/ Psych/ Damon withdrawal. But Ion television shows reruns of Psych every Saturday.
And we do need an epilogue of GG. Even if you just post on here, “And they all lived great lives” even though that’s unrealistic in such a dangerous career.

I actually live in Black Creek which is a teeny tiny town outside of Courtenay that doesn’t even have it’s own book store. I know. Sad, right? 😛 Courtenay is also a small town though, so theres probably not much of a chance that you’ll go there, so you should go to Chapters in Nanaimo (which is also on Vancouver Island) instead. Or even somewhere in Vancouver. You HAVE to come to BC though. I totally want your autograph and I know a million other people here who do too, so COME!!!! Please?

September 2, 2012 at 12:47 amOMW!!! i started reading id tell you i love you but then i have to kill you because i was reading sooooooo many books this summer and i finished so i asked her to read it and that book was the beginning of my love for the Gallagher Girls series but it will most definitely no be the end. i literally almost just finished only the good spy young and i’m so psyched that i even already started reading out of sight out of time online (at least chapter 1) and now i’m soooo psyched that there’s gonna be a book six but sad its the end of all the adventure. when i looked up out of sight out of time on this i saw a video and i watched it and all the others for the books and i saw the Heist one and watched it trying to figure out what that’s about. now after the Gallagher Girls are done with their adventure i have myself a new book series XD

i don't even know how to explain how much i love those books! i started reading them half way through my summer and i'm on the last book so far (i couldn't put the book down! i would read until i fall asleep,5 6 in the morning, and i bugged my mom soooooooo much to take me to the library so i can go get the books i put on hold so i could read it as soon as it came to the library)

She’s said that six will almost definitely be the last, and she doesn’t know if she will write any more GG books afterward, but it’s too far on the horizon to really consider.
