Okay, gang,

Crazy busy.  Or maybe just crazy.  But in any case, no time to share a lot of my thoughts, so I’ll just ask for YOUR thoughts.

What’s your favorite line from Heist Society OR Uncommon Criminals?

  3. OMG I love both books!! I read Heist Society for a book report and I had to take a passage from the book and read it to my class. I chose the scene that I felt explained Kat and her situation the best. This is just a quote from it:
    (a conversation between Arturo Taccone and Kat when she was placed into his limo after testing the alarms at the Henley)
    “So tell me, Katarina”-he jerked his head in the direction of the grand old building that was disappearing in the distance-“what are you going to steal? Da Vinci’s Angel, perhaps? I would pay you handsomely to add that to my collection, you know.”
    “I’m not a thief,” Kat said. He looked at her. “Anymore,” she added. “I’m not a thief anymore.”
    Taccone didn’t try to hide the amusement in his eyes. ” And yet, here you are.”
    “I’m here to get your paintings, Signor Taccone, so technically I’m re-stealing.” Again, Hale’s voice echoed in her head. “Re-stealing is more like a double negative.”

    I love this part because it justifies Kat’s purpose for breaking into the Henley. She is doing her best to end her family title as a thief, yet she always finds herself in those situations. That is why I love this series so much. I am going to re-read both books so that I can be prepared for the third one. I can’t wait!!

  5. Haha I love the bit where hale is pretending to play with the boat and making bubble noises!! And the he’s in the submarine and is pretending to shoot things. I think I know hale’s name!! I also think it wouldn’t be weird if zach and hale were some how long lost twin brothers, coz they have the same personality. But I’m not sure if they look the same coz ally doesn’t really describe zach but oh well. Love them both!! Ally is the best author ever alongside Rick riordan and Angie sage(septimus heap) if I could choose 4 boys from books I would choose septimus heap( septimus heap) o. Beetle Beetle ( septimus heap) w.w hale the fifth and Zachary goode in my min they are all hot!!

    • Never really realized that Ally doesn’t Zach that much! Just his broad shoulders and that he’s tall. I just assumed he was white, 6ft tall, broad shoulders, tan, with dark brown hair sorta spiky(like Zayn from 1D). 🙂

    • Actually scratch that. If it was 5 I would add Anubis from the Kane chronicles. He’s sooooooooo hot. I would probably have to swap beetle with Anubis!! But beetle is still cute! And sweet!!

  6. I love all her books but one of my favorite scenes in in HS when Kat goes to Arturo Taccone
    “That’s a lovely piece,” Kat said, pointing to a Louis XV armoire near the fireplace.
    The man raised his eyebrows. “did you come to steal it?”
    “Darn it,” Kat said with a snap of her fingers. “I knew I should have brought my big purse.”

  7. Just finished uncommon criminals. I love it when it says ” and someone gave the bagshaws a gun.” I have a friend called angus and he’s insane and reminds me of the bagshaws, so to me it was like giving a gun to my frien angus x2. We played softball today and he had a bat in his hands and I took it off him and said ” i don’t trust u with that!” now he just needs a brother called hamish. 0_0

    • That’s cool! 🙂 My favorite line is when Gabrielle and Kat are trying to make Hale look like Ezra Jones and they can’t get it right and Gabrielle says, “He’s still…HOT!”.
      Hahah made me laugh! 🙂

  8. “do you believe in curses, hale? he looked at her. i believe in you.” i absolutely love how hale would do anything for her. he runs all over the world for her and no matter how crazy something is he believes in her and never doubts what she can do and what she is capable of.

  9. My Fave lines would be anything with the Bagshaws and this one from Marcus.

    “The gentalmen outside would like to know if it was as ‘Bloody brilliant’ as they thought.”

    I must say my heart is torn between the Bagshaw Bro’s
    Angus and Hamish.(I made a tee shirt to prove it. :P)

  10. Does anyone find it kind of ironic when Uncle Charlie tells Kat to NEVER let two men fall in love with her?? Cause there’s Hale and Nick… LOL even though Nick isn’t that interested since he knows that Hale and Kat belong together… 🙂

  11. I love any of the conversations between Kat and Taccone. She is just so sarcastic it’s hilarious.

    I also love anything the Bagshaw brothers say, they are just so “bloody brilliant!!!”

    And Marcus. He may be a pretty small character, but he is so proper that when he says something you don’t know if he is being serious or not and he just makes me laugh a lot.

    I LOVE HEIST SOCIETY AND UNCOMMON CRIMINAL SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! SO EXCITED FOR HS3!!!!

My fav I can’t quote now since my best friend is borrowing my copy of Uncommon Criminals but it’s right after Nick leaves (after his and Hale’s fight) and like they just announced both the Antony and Cleopatra and it’s somethhing like “the green cascaded around them room in a kaleidoscope of green, but it wasnothing compared to the look in Hale’s eyes as he looked straight at Kat. She wanted to believe it- a love that spanned a thousand years and was so powerful a curse went against any who opposed it. She looked at Hale and knew he wanted to believe it too.” Something like that. 🙂 it’s just so nice I thought of this one when I read this post. And the one at the end of the book when they’re holding hands and it’s like “nothing can come between us.”

  13. I love the line “Mom and Dad are Going To fight.” And just all of the lines! That’s the only one I can think of right now but I also love ( like above) When She says “nothing can come between us” when they hold hands.
    Kat: “Hale, Do you believe in curses?”
    Hale: “I Believe in you”

    OMG LOVE THIS BOOK
    Everything is AMAZING!!!!!! Hale is my favorite! Hahaha, Gab is really cool too! I love them all!!!
    I also love when Hale says “I feel so Cheep.”!
    “C cup???” I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!

  19. My favourite line is “the princess and the pea? Gabrielle suggested. “Not enough time” kat said”where’s Waldo?”Gabrielle went on.Hamish recoiled”I am still not allowed in Morocco.”
    My favourite characters are the bagshaws.
