Hey Everyone!

 
I have a special Molly Monday for you today 🙂 I have been working on making the  Official Ally Carter Tumblr for contests, give aways,  fan content (such as art, etc), and other fun stuff. Today not only will the Tumblr be launched, but Ally wants to hold a giveaway to celebrate (US residents only, sorry international  fans!!). Comment on this Molly Monday post (only once!) with  any ideas you may have for the Tumblr and you will be entered to win one of five AUTOGRAPHED, paperback copies of  “Only the Good Spy Young”, which has the first chapter of GG 5 in the back of it!!!  This paperback edition will not be released in stores until January 2012.

The winners will be chosen at random, so don’t worry if you are not the first 5 people to comment.

Hi all, so glad you’re enjoying the idea of the Tumblr.  I’m so glad it seems like something you’ll enjoy, and so grateful to Molly for getting it off the ground. 

Two things to note.

1.  we’re still playing with the layout, and I expect it will be much easier to read very shortly.

2. a lot of people are asking for fanfiction related things. Unfortunately, due to legal, creative, and personal reasons fanfictions will NEVER be sanctioned on any of my sites or programs.  (Nor would they be for any author.)

  2. I don’t know much about Tumblr, I’m more of a Blogger person myself.

    Maybe you could do special “spy” and “theif” pages. You know, tips and tricks of the trade?

    read this post and AWESOME idea. I don’t own a tumbler… but i WOULD make one for ally carter’s books xD
    Okay enough babbling :p I had an idea for like a ”mini contest” the prize’s could be w/e you and Ally decide but it would be similar to the t-shirt contest you had. The girls (not sure if you guys have guy-fans O.o ) would make “banners/posters” for their favorite book and post onto the tumblers wall… like I sadi I do not own a tumbler so I amnot sure how it works, but i hope you two will consider my idea 🙂 Thanks <3

  7. I think it would be cool if the tumblr had monthly downloads or something of the like. i’d love to be interacting with my favorites series, maybe even have a “day of fan submissions”. Anyway, I’m just happy to explore something new!!

  8. My idea for the tumblr would be that you put video trailers for the books up. They can be fan made but I think that would be a super fun thing to look at. 🙂

  10. Hey Ally! I think you should add like a little section of the tumblr to i dont know descride the way you feel some of the characters in GG act im not sure how to descride it though but Congrats on the tumblr! Your an amazing author, inspiration, and person! Thank you 🙂

  11. Tumblr is great for fun little graphics and quotes. So maybe some graphics or printables of Gallagher Girls quotes from the books and such. Such a cool idea!

  16. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!! I”M HYPERVENTILATING!!!! First, YAY!!! ALLY HAS A TUMBLR, NOW!!! I’ll follow as soon as I finish with this comment. SEcond, AUTOGRAOHED COPIES AND THE FIRST CHAP. of GG5, OH MY GOODESS!!!!! AHHHH!! FREAKOUT MOMENT!!! As for the tumblr goes, I think you should have more contests, and polls and whatnot. You could also have an Ally Carter quote of the day, that’s what I’m going to do on my fan-made tumblr for Gallagher Girls and Heist Society. You could maybe have writing tips from Ally, and maybe every once in a while Ally could do a chat sort of things with us; we’d message her and ask her questions through tumblr’s and she’d answer them. This is going to be SO COOL!!! I haven’t really started making my fan tumblr’s for Ally, but I will soon. Can you please please please folllow!! It would be so amazing to have Ally follow my tumblr blogs that are about her books.

  17. Well Tumblr is for lots of things. Not just pictures. Maybe some videos would be cool. There’s a lot of stuff you can put into a video about the books.

  18. ok so I dont know if its just me or if anybody else has never heard of tumblr till just now???? what is it ??? …….. Anyways i thought it was very cool! only thing is I couldnt really read what it said maybe bigger print would help…… It would be really cool to have more quizzes on it

  22. you could have a downloads section where we could download backgrounds and stuff, or there could be a quizzes section that was updated every once in a while….

  23. I think the actual design of the blog could maybe be a little more easy on the eyes. Some of the GG or Heist colors would be cool.
    As far as content goes, it would be awesome to have a countdown widget thing. That would be a good contest too, to have us make countdown widgets like you have for previous contests. 🙂

  25. Hi Molly and Ally! I not that familiar with tumblr but I think that trivia is fun, so maybe add something with that? Like random stuff from all of Ally’s books?
