Hi guys,

It’s that time again–time for another round of ASK ALLY!  The gameshow sensation that’s sweeping the nation.

Okay.  So it’s not a gameshow.  And it’s not a sensation.  But it is a lot of fun.

What happens:  you guys can post questions in the comments section of THIS blog.  Then in a week or so I will turn off comments and go through and answer as many questions as I can.

But there’s a catch!

1.  I will not answer questions that are already answered here on the blog, in the FAQ, and in other extremely obvious places.  (example: how many Gallagher Girl books will there be?  How did I get the idea for the Gallagher Academy?  Will there be a movie?  Etc.)

Those questions have been asked.  They’ve been answered.  Let’s cover NEW territory here, okay.  So before you ask a question please make sure your question hasn’t already been answered (chances are it has)

 

2.  I will not answer questions that are spoilers for future books.  (Will we find out what happened to Cammie’s dad?  Why is the Circle after Cammie?  What is Hale’s first name?  Etc.)

 

3.  Duplicate questions will be deleted and will not be answered. 

Past experience has taught me that these types of posts will get hundreds of comments–and that’s EXTREMELY cool!  But going through that many comments takes a lot of time that I should be using writing more books.

People always post the same questions over and over, usually citing that “they’re too busy to read all the comments to make sure this isn’t a duplicate.”  Well, that implies that your time is far more valuable than my time.  And that’s not cool.

In other words, if you don’t have time to read and not ask duplicates, please don’t ask questions at all.  I have a massive deadline and other things on my plate and I would love for this to be as efficient as possible.

 

4.  And finally please post no more than three questions each, and please make your question as concise as possible. 

Example:  “Dear Ally, how did you decide to have Kat go after a cursed gem in Heist 3 instead of another piece of Holocaust art?”

As a rule, questions shouldn’t be more than 30-40 words long.

      I am 13 and I love every single you’ve wrote from id tell you I love you but then id have to kill you and so on.
      please write more books of the Gallagher girls ones pleas.

  5. I LOVE your books! Especially the Gallagher Girls ones. It’s really disappointing that you decided to stop writing them. They’ve been my favorite books since the first one came out! Please keep writing! Your amazing!

  8. Dear Ally,
    Please write a book a bout Gabrielle (from Heist Society) starting when she is only 12 or 13. All readers see is a a confident, brutally honest, beautiful girl, how seems to me like she has built an emtional wall around herself. How did Gabrielle become that way, how does she really feel? It way be hard to write from a slightly younger prespective, but Gabrielle needs a backstory. She seems to be the iconic self empowered woman thief, but does Gabrielle want to be noticed for something besides beauty, or want to lead a normal life? It would add great prespective to the Heist Society books, if you wrote a backstory. by the way, if you can’t write the suggested book are Gabrielle’s eyes dark green and does she have ivory skin or a sun kissed tan?

  13. In OGSY, Zach confesses what Blackthorne really is. Then Cammie asks what did he do that was so bad and he said he couldn’t tell her. What did Zach do that was so bad and awfult hat he was forced to Blackthorne?

    2. Are there going to be 6 GG movies, each for each book in the series?

    I love your Gallagher Girls books so much! Here’s my questions and I have read all the posts and I am so sorry if I repeat any that have already been said.

    1) which Gallagher girl are you most like?
    2) what do Cammie, Macey, Bex and Liz look like in your mind?
    3) please can you write a sequel to the Gallagher girls series, maybe where they all meet up?

    I would love it if you could respond, again I love your books so much and I hope I haven’t repeated any questions.

  17. Hi! First I want to say that I absolutely love your writing! Now that we have gotten past that I have one quesquestion and one idea. I’ve been reading a series called Night School and saw how this author writes POVs (in her terms ist just a different point of view of a scenario) of parts of her books. If you ever had an inch of free time in that schedules of writing and life it might be fun for readers to have more gallagher academy. I miss it so much and would love it if you could try it. But if you can’t you might just want to read her books…. Also, I read all your heist society books and loved them by the way, but still after I read them many times, I couldn’t find the answer to the secret part in Hale’s name…. sorry…. but if you read this I’d love it! Thank you for your dedication to the secretive and complex characters of your amazing books!

  18. Hi Ally, I love all your books and I have read them all. 1.) I was wondering if you will make any other books like Double-cross where the GG meet the others from HS or if they get to meet Grace or other characters from ER.
    Also are you going to write more HS books?

    Nice twist in ER I didn’t expect that. I can’t wait for the second book and see how Grace deals with the aftermath, 2.) will Alexei be in the next book? 3.) Are you going to let us know who the lost princess is or is it not part of the plot you are going for?

    I know you said you won’t answer any questions that might turn into spoilers and I understand that, What I would really like to know is if there are going to be any more cross-over books.

    I really LOVE ALL your books and can’t wait for your next one.

I was wondering if there is a movie to the Gallagher Girls Series? And if there is where do you think I would find it?

    I noticed you will be in Ft. Worth. Are you coming to the area for North Texas Teen Book Festival? (obsessed with Gallagher Girls; the characters and plots are so well written. I’m also a big fan of how it’s about girls and kinda squashes the ‘men are superior’ thing—–I’m on book three)

  25. hi Ally! i just wanted to let you know that i just finished See How They Run and the ending was so cool and unexpected. i wanted to tell you how amazing it was to see how the first and second book were tied together. it was an amazing book with lots of unexpected twists and turns that i did not expect! i am so exited to read the third book when it comes out.
    i also had a few questions i would like to ask you:
    is there in fact going to be a third book?
    will there be more than 3 books to finish this amazing adventure with Grace and all her friends?
    thank you soooooo much for writing such an amazing series that has me wondering what comes next!

    Just finished Embassy Row yesterday and loved the books but I have question. Did Grace ever tell her friends, Noah, Megan, Rosie and Alexei truth about her mother’s murder??

    so I was wondering in the first book Cammie likes josh and in the second book she has a new love interest zack which is unusual in most book series to switch up the love interest so I was wondering that when you wrote the first book did you always plan to have zack in the second book and to end up being the main love interest for the rest of the series?
