Hi everyone!
I’m home from the utterly amazing Teen Book Festival in Rochester, New York!
It was a great, great festival with somewhere over 2,000 teens in attendance. Some people drove up to 5 hours to be there, and that’s amazing.
And speaking of driving…
I had some travel woes. It began when I missed my connection in Newark. From there, my super awesome publicist arranged for a car service to drive me to Rochester. Yes–all five and a half hours to Rochester! It was quite a trek but worth it.
Then today I had some MORE travel woes when my flight out of Rochester was delayed for an hour due to bad weather in Chicago. But I DID make it to Chicago 15 minutes before my connection was about to take off.
Gate Agent: Passenger Carter. Last call for passenger Carter.
Me: I’m here! I’m here! I’m here!
Gate Agent who didn’t hear me: Passenger Carter, we are about to close the–
Me: I’M HERE!
And then I had to run down a flight of stairs and go out into the rain and get on a plane.
So, in short, the festival was great.
Travel is a huge hassle.
I really want one of the iPads with internet now because that would have been great to have on this trip.
And I have a ton of work to do.
That pretty much wraps up my weekend!
Ally
I really wish I could have been at the festival but my mom couldn’t take me. š And we face travle problems everytime we travle down to Long Island, because we usually end up going through some horrible town or alot of traffic, because our GPS stinks. š
Hey Ally! Omg I haven’t been on here in like forever! o.o
Anyway, just wanted to say that I’m glad you had an awesome time and a safe trip! š Also I cannot wait for you to come to Houston! :O
(this is the point in which I scream with delight)
(hold on it lasts for about 5 seconds)
Lol, anyway Luv Ya Ally! And I hope you have safe trips on the rest of your tour. Houston loves you! š

I’ve never been to Rochester, but I do like Mr. Rochester.
