Hey everybody!
Well, long time blog readers will remember that once upon a time I had this great tradition of revealing the titles of my books in (what I thought were) cool, interesting ways.
I did crossword puzzles and intricate codes. Seems like there was another cool activity or two, and I’ve been meaning to get back to that because 1. I liked it and 2. you guys seemed to like it.
So that’s why I haven’t revealed the title of Heist Society 2 yet. We’ve known the title for a couple of weeks and I kept meaning to put something together–I really, truly did. Seriously. PInkie swear. Unfortunately I’ve had to you all my “cool” “interesting” braincells lately on the actual book, so the contest/activity never materialized.
So here’s the question I put before you: would you rather wait and get the title through some kind of activity and have it be a few weeks or maybe even a month (I have to turn Heist 2 in by Dec. 16)?. Or would you rather I just tell you now?
Totally your call.
-Ally
PS: since the decision has been made (see the next post), comments have been disabled for this post. Thanks everyone for “voting”.
telling us now! it would be cool for you to put up a search thing later……..but i think we all really want to know SOMETHING about HS2 ( and to stop calling it HS2)
Tell!! Tell!! Tell!! š
I think I would prefer an activity thing. I first read LYKY when my sister bought it and the same with CMHS so I didn’t get into it enough yet to look for your website to see a title thing. Don’t get me wrong I loved them!! But it was such a long time between reading LYKY and the time between going to the bookstore again for my sister to discover the second one just came out. And this was a really long and not even relevant story sorry lol. Bottom line I would like an activity title.
I want to know it now plz!!!! š
Please tell me now. I’m awful at those code things (Or you’re just really good at putting them together)
Wait? Not this December 16th?????
Could it be? I fear not. *Dejected sigh* don’t know how I’m going to make it through break without a new Ally Carter.
I wouldn’t mind a puzzle, that would be awesome. And do you know what the cover looks like yet?
An activity is definitely worth waiting for. I bet the title is awesome!
Activity would be awesome, but I know you are busy so whatever is easiest for you!
TELL US NOW!!
Hey Ally!
I kind of want to have some kind of game for it. Maybe a scavenger hunt on your website?
Either way I’m happy. (:
Tell us now! I am sure the title will be epic!
Please tell us now! I can hardly wait.
I wanna know now! I’m to lazy to do a puzzle/ activity XD
Don’t you know we live in a world of instant gratification. Tell us now!
NOW! I can’t wait š
To those wondering about the Dec. 16 thing, she’s saying that her deadline for the draft/revisions that she’s working on is Dec. 16, 2010, not that it’s coming out on Dec. 16 this year or next.
Anyway, as for your question, I do like what someone suggested earlier- a link for those who don’t want to wait, and an activity/puzzle for those who enjoy those things. Of course, then you couldn’t make it a contest since people could just go to the link, find out the title, and enter that way. And that would be bad.
Hey, Ally!
I think the activity would be awesome!! But whatever you think is best. š
And other peoples, when she says she needs to turn it in on Dec 16, I think she’s talking about giving it to the editor. Because if you go to the media room, you can see that it should come out in June 2011. So at least we only have to wait half a year!!
I would like an activity. I haven’t done an activity before and it seems so neat. I don’t think many authors do that. Thank you soo much for giving us a say in the matter. Thanks. (:
Definitely the Puzzle!! I really want to know it, but I think it’d be sooooo much fun to find it out through a puzzle!
Besides, your readers can unleash their inner Gallagher Girl with a puzzle! <3
Hey Ally! Please tell us now!
Your Rock! š
Hey Ally
Telling us now would be good.
But finding out what codes say can be fun.
So it’s perity much up to you.
But I still think now whould be cool too. š
Personally I would like it now. I love puzzles, but I think I can cope. The suspense is killing me!
I say now! It would be fun with an activity but I am (really) curious!!!
I want to know now, but some people want the code/puzzle thingie. So how about you put it on your blog, but you put the SPOILER ALERT, and then put in a puzzle once you finish it?
One more thing: do you turn it in December 2010 or 2011?
Misty-that’s a relief!
I LOVE your puzzles, but I am all about spoilers! Please tell us! (Heist Society was SO good–I couldn’t put it down, and even after I was finished, I re-read all of my favorite parts again and again and again…)
Please please please tell the title now!!!!!! Please!!
Dude, she hasn’t even turned it in to the publisher yet. They haven’t even started on the cover.
It’s an activity, not a contest.
