Hello Gallagher Girls and Guys!
I’m glad that everyone enjoyed the pictures from RT. Thanks for the many kind words! If you like hearing stories from the road, just you wait. Things are going to be busy travel-wise here in Allyville for the next few months. So, so busy!
And that brings us to a list of very big developments:
First, I’m sorry to report that due to flooding at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, the Romance Writers of America will have to relocate/reschedule its annual convention. RWA is working diligently to find an alternate hotel, but it will likely not be in Nashville due to the fact that very few hotels are large enough to accommodate this group. As soon as I have more information, I will pass it along. In the meantime, please mark my Nashville signing at RWA off your calendars. (boo–I know)
Next, I have GOOD news!
Some of you might have already noticed two new additions to the events page here at AllyCarter.com!
In addition to the May 22nd event in Dallas, TX, I can now tell you that I have TWO upcoming events in the Los Angeles area!
Whoo!
July 20, 2010, 7:00 p.m.: Signing at Barnes and Noble Glendale Americana, Glendale, CA.
July 21, 2010, 4:00 p.m.: Signing at Vroman’s Bookstore, Pasadena, CA.
Needless to say, I’m incredibly excited to finally be coming to Southern California (I know a lot of you have been requesting some stops there for a long time). And I know it’s going to be a lot of fun.
But do you know what can make these events even better? Doing them with Melissa de la Cruz!
Double whoo!
I’m so incredibly excited about these three events (Dallas, Glendale, and Pasadena), and I can’t wait to see what other events will be added in the coming weeks as the Only the Good Spy Young tour comes together.
The final thing I wanted to make everyone aware of is that, in addition to the blog , twitter, and the newsletter, there’s a new way to receive updates about upcoming events. Just text ALLYCARTER to 69302 to receive text alerts when events are coming to your area! (Standard text messaging rates apply.)
Again, I’m really looking forward to meeting a lot of readers in the coming months. My fab publiser is setting up the GG4 tour right now, and I will let you know as soon as we have more dates!
Thanks!
Ally
ps…as usual, I’m afraid I don’t have any say in where I will be going on tour, and I’m afraid requests logged in the comments section can’t be tracked or passed on at this time. I’m sorry.
Edited May 5, 2010…
NEWS: We just received word that RWA has successfully relocated the annual convention to the The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, July 28–31. I will post more details as they become available.
In the meantime, Florida, I’m coming your way!
Hope you have fun Ally 🙂
It’s really cool that GG3 been a finalist of a RWA RITA Award 🙂
Sooo, How is GG4 going?
Can you give us another mini exerpt??? Please???
Yes, I know you said you don’t have a say in where you go, but I’m curious. Why do authors never come to Northern States? Like Minnesota?Because we rarely get any authors here!
OK Ally I can’t help but notice the way you start the post I get what you were trying to say when you said girls and Gallagher Girls and Guys (sorry if I spelled it wrong) but I think it should be Gallagher Girls and Blackthorn Guys. (I’m almost sure that’s the name) My goodness by the way I’m typing you would think I have never read the books but I have a fan site.
