Hey everybody!
As some of you have probably already heard, this week is the Romantic Times Convention in Columbus, OH. Now, I’ve never attended RT before, but people who know tell me it’s one of the largest fan conferences around and oodles of fun. Needless to say I’m excited!
If you’re going to be at the convention, look for me at the Not So Sweet 16 party for booksellers on Thursday night.
On Friday, I’ll be on two panels!
1:30 READER AUTHOR CHAT-YOUNG ADULTS
FRIDAY: Be prepared for anything in this improptu discussion about life, love and books.
Hosted by: Kelley Armstrong, Holly Black, Ally Carter, Melissa Marr
2:45 YOUNG ADULT: LOVE LOOKS DIFFERENT AT 13: How to Add a Teen’s Perspective on Love in a YA Novel
FRIDAY:
Whether it’s first crushes, first kisses, or first heartbreaks,
relationships in your teens can look very different than later in life.
Three YA novelists discuss the role romance can play in young adult
novels and the particular nuances that come with writing about
characters who have only just begun to love.
Panelists: Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Ally Carter, Rachel Vincent
Then, of course, on Saturday I’ll be taking part in the big autographing fair, so please bring those books by and say hi!
Needless to say, I’m incredibly excited about it all! The downside is that I will be pretty out-of-pocket for the next few days, so the blog may be a teeny bit quiet. I will, however, be tweeting all the festivities, so check that out if you want the latest.
In the meantime, have fun and happy reading!
Ally
