Shopfest

December 3, 2008 by Ally Carter Leave a Comment

I can’t decide if today has been a productive day or not.

On one hand, it’s 5:13 p.m. and I’m just now sitting down with the Kat/Heist/Untitled manuscript to begin doing the work for which I receive actual compensation.

On the other hand, I have now completed 90% of my holiday shopping.

That counts for something, doesn’t it?

Sometimes people ask me what I’m asking for for Christmas (towels. and maybe dishes. oh the joys of being a grown-up) or what gifts I can recommend to others.

Well, this year I am going to follow Sara Zarr’s (and a lot of other cool people’s) advice and say

GIVE BOOKS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Because, as Sara blogged, a scented candle never changed anyone’s life.
