WHAT I’M EATING: Chex mix!
WHAT I’M WEARING: Uh…yoga pants and a long-sleeve t-shirt…duh.
WHAT I’M THINKING: I really, really hope I get over this cold/allergy/whatever curse soon.
WHAT I’M FEARING: The third act of the new book.
WHAT I’M HOPING: That the economy turns around. And quickly.
WHAT I’M DREAMING: About a cure for my cold/allergy/whatever curse.
WHAT I’M SINGING: Christmas carols.
WHAT I’M READING: The Treasure Map of Boys by E. Lockhart! (This is the third in E’s Ruby Oliver series. It isn’t in stores yet, I’m afraid, but I snagged an ARC in San Antonio.)
WHAT I’M THANKFUL FOR: You guys.
WHAT I’M PUTTING OFF: Have I mentioned the third act of the new book?
WHAT I’M LOVING: The old movie, Sneakers, staring Robert Redford–possibly the best caper/heist movie ever! (You guys should totally get it and watch it over winter break–especially the special features with the writers. There was some incredibly good stuff in there.)
WHAT I’M DREADING: Well…there’s the third act of the new book! Also, working out on Tuesday.
WHO I’M ENVYING: E. Lockhart. She’d totally have fixed the third act by now!
WHAT I’M GOING TO READ NEXT: Tough one. Either the next 39 Clues book by Gordon Korman (who I just met in San Antonio and is one of the nicest/coolest humans ever–also someone who totally would have told the 3rd act who’s boss by now.) Or maybe the new Laurie Halse Anderson that Jen Barnes just loaned me an ARC of since it was such a hot item at NCTE that I was literally afraid to try to get one because people were…eager…for her stuff.
WHAT I’M REALIZING: That the third act isn’t going to fix itself. Also, that it’s highly unlikely that E. and Gordon and Laurie are going to show up and do it for me.
But they might?
I do, after all, have Chex mix.
Later gators,
Ally
