More about the book club

December 9, 2008 by Ally Carter Leave a Comment

1. You need to start reading Something Rotten right away.

2. The chat will likely happen sometime before the end of the year–likely when we expect many of you to be on break from school.

3. We’re investigating software now, so I don’t have a web address YET, but I can say that we’re taking every step possible to host it here on AllyCarter.com and not on MySpace or Facebook.

4. While you read and re-read SOMETHING ROTTEN you should be thinking of good questions to ask Alan while he’s with us–we want to show him how smart and savvy you guys can be!

5. This is going to be A LOT of fun!

later gators,
Ally

ps…I wanted to add that SOMETHING ROTTEN, while awesome, is officially recommended for readers 14 and up.

Now, that doesn’t mean younger readers can’t read it, but I did want to point out that the book contains language and situations that are slightly more mature than the Gallagher Girl books. For example, if the GG books are PG, SOMETHING ROTTEN is closer to PG-13.

If we continue the book club, I will make a very real effort to pick a wide variety of books, most of which will be in the PG range.
