E. Lockhart is a friend of mine, but right now I’m a little bit mad at her. After all, do you have any idea what it’s like to be sitting on an airplane, innocently reading a book, only to laugh out loud and have people stare at you?
And how about when that same book brings back in riveting detail all the utter insecurity that consumed you during high school?
And the worst part had to be that since Dramarama takes place at summer drama camp I’ve been walking around singing showtunes for days now. I simply can NOT get “and the people all said sit down, sit down you’re rocking the boat” out of my head.
So I say darn you, E. Lockhart for writing such a funny, achingly true, addictive book.
Darn you, indeed.
