Guest blog with Sarah Mlynowski!One of the best parts of this business is, without a doubt, getting to know other writers because most of them are smart, funny, and utterly, 100% made of awesome. Case in point: Sarah Mlynowski. Back when I was very first considering writing YA (when Love You Kill You was barely a gleam in my eye), one of the first books I picked up was Sarah's Bras and Broomsticks and instantly it felt like coming home. These were the types of books I was meant to be reading. And maybe...just maybe...they were the types of books I was meant to be writing. Now Sarah has a new book that examines one of my favorite things ever: what if. What if you hadn't gone to that dance... What if you hadn't answered the phone... What if you hadn't slept through the alarm... What would you life be like then. And what would you do to change it? In Gimme a Call Sarah's main character is thinking about those very things when she accidentally drops her cell phone into a wishing fountain and--boom--from that point on she can only call herself...or, more specifically, herself four years in the past.
Recently, Sarah and I were talking about our books and characters and we decided to play our own little game of what if. Here's how it went:

I've read Gimme a Call, and Sarah's M-in-M series. I grew up with it! It's just soooo funny. I met Sarah when she did an event at B&N in NYC when Parties and Potions came out. And then I saw her at your NYC event for Heist!
Gimme a Call was cute; I just couldn't get into it as much. But you can't go wrong with her Magic in Manhattan series! :D
Sounds cool. I might read it. Ally, does it ever feel like there are soo many things you want to write and read that you will never have time to do them all? That is totally how I feel! LOLz.

I have all of the Magic in Manhattan books, and they are so awesome!! Gimme A Call is right here on my desk in my TBR pile. The cover is so so pretty! I'll totally be reading it soon!

I read Gimme a Call about two weeks ago and loved it! It was so funny and I loved the ending! Everybody should read it!
Now that I've heard of Sarah M. (Believe me, I'm a homeschooler so I don't get out and do much a lot) I will most certainly check her books out! And Ally (I know you might not read this, but still, what's the harm?) thank you soooooooo much for your tips/steps on writting and getting published in that area on the site! I went back and read a book i love to write that i've been writting for years and discovered so many mistakes!
And I loved GG4! It made me CRY! AND VERY RARELY DO BOOKS MAKE ME CRY! (I refuse to give out why it made me cry though . . . I don't even know why!)
I have one question, though, (and i know you probably won't answer it) I read some of LYKY to my Mom and she and i think that Hugh Jackman would make a PERFECT Mr. Solomon, what do you think? (Go look back on Hugh Jackman's movie history . . .)
FYI, I looooovvveeee your GG series. (Can't wait to read Heist!)

faileur. complete faileur. i started to read GG4 but then i couldnt put it down. i was going to read 1 chapter per night but i finished it in 2 days....that shows how much will power i have. GG4 was just SO good i couldnt put it down.

oh ya! i saw that book at a bookstore near me and i was going to buy it but i didnt have enough money with me :Z but i will definately go see if my library has it/buy it from the bookstore!!!

Last night I ordered Gimme A Call from ebay and now I have to wait to get it (I'm not good at waiting)
Also I loved the GG series and Heist:D
I am reading this book right now! It's really cute, and also funny. :) I would recommend it to anyone who likes Sarah Mlynowski, or anyone just looking for a feel good book.
