Does Mr. Solomon like (insert emphasis on like) Cammie’s mom? Does being in a relationship feel awkward because of Cammie’s dad? Will you do GG4 quotes of the day?
I was wondering something about Cammie. While other girls are really enthusiastic about being spies, she is often not. This is probably because she knows firsthand the dangers of it. Aliases and being in the public eye make her uncomfortable. (Again, I think it has to do with her father.) I feel that most of Cammie’s being a spy is because it was expected of her; it was a role that she was born in. (Especially after she showed such an advanced IQ when she was a toddler.) If it wasn’t so assumed that she will be a spy ,because you can’t go to Galager Academy and not end up being involved, would being a spy or working in that field be something that Cammie would naturally be drawn to? She will do a great job because she is a Morgan, and a chamelion and because of her parents. But if Cammie had the option of just walking away, guilt free, or had the choice of picking a different route than the Gallager one, and have a normal life, would she?
Do you like Heist Society better than the Gallagher Girls series?I haven’t had a chance to read HS yet but I feel like you’re dropping GG for another adventure.Maybe Im wrong cause like I said I haven’t read it yet, its probably amazing.

1) Do you know if GG will ever be published in France or in French?
2) Do you have a precise idea on how the GG serie is going to end? Or are you still just finding as you go? What are the things that are subject to make you decide how to end the serie?

what do you usually do when you’re having a writer’s block?
I’m guessing that you get a lot of story/plot ideas–being an author of course! With that in mind, do you write down everything that you think of? Do you have a special folder to keep unwritten works in? Do some of these ideas have potential for being future books???
I am a blossoming writer and I frequently get good ideas. I get so many and I just never know if it’s worth it to even write them down! I was just wondering about your thoughts on that… thanks!

How did you decide on the Heist Society cover (ie. Was it your original intention to have an Audrey Hepburn-esque look?) and did you already have an idea/thoughts of what you wanted before, during, or after finishing the book?
I know you had a casting party on Oscar night, but what are your personal actor/actress preferences for each HS character? How long does it usually take to get from your first draft to our bookstore shelves?

Why is it that in Australia we have different publishing dates and different covers (we have all of your books in paperback with different covers from America) and just to let you know Australia is actually pretty good for sightseeing (in case you were wondering we are not all bogans and we don’t have kangaroo’s jumping around everywhere and Koala’s falling out of trees). A lot of people assume that which shows their scope of mind!

Hi Ally! My daughter and I love your GG books, and HS! We love that an author can write books that we can both enjoy and talk about for hours! As a mom of a young teen, I really appreciate that your books aren’t loaded with “questionable” language and sexual content. Is this a conscious effort on your part?

1) Why does macy trust and open up to cammie the most, even before the incident in GG3 occured she always seemed closer to cammie.
2)Are there clues in the previous three GG books about who the rogue agent is in GG4
3)At what point would you say that cammie started to develop feelings for zach? And vice versa when do you think zach started to (or seems to) develop feelings for cammie and why?

I was wondering if, in your opinion, does Cammie resent her father a little? I mean that does she actually hate it when everyone says she’s just like her father and she looks just like him? Does she feel like she’s living in his shadow? I was just wondering I may be way over speculating.
I was wondering the same thing. it does seem like Cammie is always getting pushed into this. And I think she tried to get away when she started dating Josh but then she made the decision to move to the next sublevel. Was that because she really wanted to? Or because she couldn’t turn back now?
Also I was wondering if Cammie actually did like Josh or did she just like the idea of having a normal life? Was Josh just a way to experience a life she never had?

Do you outline? Or, rather, what is your planning process? I’m really interested in finding that out, because as a writer, I’ve been looking for a process that works for me. As of now, I’ve tried several methods and am starting to mix them together, taking the best parts out of each. How did you find your way?

Sooo my question is really weird but let me just ask it anyways. While you’re writing do you have anything that you do while you’re doing that? Er like in the middle when you just have nothing to say. Like for example J.K. Rowling used to and I guess still does but when she types and takes I guess a bit of a break she plays minesweeper. Wait do you type or hand write?? Yeah so please come to Canada!! We’re really friendly people. And wait!! omh like be like Rick Riordan come to Canada and try something new. Though if you don’t like the cold weather then I would advise you not to come in the midst of winter but since GG4 is released in the summer you have nothing to worry about!Oooh wait what I really wanted to ask is that is Ally Carter kind of like your pseudonym or however you spell it but I’ll spell check it.

1. If you could be friends with any character from either of your series, who would you pick?
2. The Gallagher Girls had to work extremely hard to unveil the mystery around Blackthorne. How much did the Blackthorne Boys know about Gallagher?
3. If they didn’t know about Gallagher, how did hiding in plain sight help disguise the Gallagher Girls (in CMH, the girls realize that Blackthorne doesn’t exist online or in books, whereas the Gallagher Girls’ cover is widespread enough to attract the daughter of a US senator)?

Hi Ally!!! I Love your books! My question is: when you are creating characters, is there a prosess that you go through to create very lively characters? Thank you!
I have a “few” questions…
1. How do you know exactly how to make your characters look like? (I mean how do you know if they should be a blonde or a brunette, with blue or black eyes, etc…)
2. How long does it generally take you to write a book?
3. Do you know any literary agents that would be fine with working with… teenager writers? (I’m writing a few books, already have one done)
4. Are you going to be writing more Heist Society books?

First off, I want to say… WOW!!! Honestly, when I picked up your books at the library I didn’t expect to enjoy them as much as I did…and will!!! It only took me a max of 4 days to read all 3 of the book (my parents thought there was something seriously wrong with me, considering I normally don’t do those kind of things). I don’t really have much of a question, I just want to say how grateful I am for the series. Hey Ally! I just really need to share some quick things with you. First, I’m a writer too! The thing is, I’m only 14, so it’s still kind of scary for me! Second, we share one thing in common – I found out today and I thought it was awesome – I also started writing after I read the amazing book “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton! Third, I love your books, and even though I live in Brazil and am Brazilian, I’m lucky I know English and love English, or else I wouldn’t have been able to read all the Galagher Girls’ books you’ve published until now. In fact, I’m absolutely dying here for GG4, I crave for it so badly it hurts a little. - i thought buckingham was retireing after orientation in GG1 but shes shows up at the end of book 3. what is she still doing at the school?

Teen novels have a reputation of being frivolous, and not “serious literature”- especially spy/girl power/romance/adventure books. Both heroines in your books are interested in adventure as much as they are in boys. How do you create characters and a story that has integrity in a genre that very often doesn’t? And is being a Young Adult author different from being an adult fiction author? Is there a difference in your writing methods between Young Adult and Adult fiction?
I started reading your books in middle school, but they weren’t published fast enough! Even in high school I still very much enjoy them- Thank you.

I was wondering why you picked the names. Don’t think I’m critical or an idiot, but Ikinda wondered. Whenever we have freewrite in school I always have a reason why I give my people their names. Usually, its because they tie together and sound good. “Gracie, Faith, and Hope walked home together.” That sort of thing. I actually did write that in my notebook at school. But really, I’d like to know why you chose the names.
