It seems like lately (for obvious reasons) I’m getting asked A LOT of questions about how the New York Times Bestseller list is tabulated/determined/chosen. Whatever.
Well the truth is that it’s, for the most part, a mystery how the Times list is determined. After all, if people knew exactly how books make it on the list then people would be able to manipulate the system.
But…today I ran across this great article that talks about the process. It doesn’t say exactly how the list comes about (and for good reason), but it does break down some of the old myths.
